Skills Retention

Our clients abilities, how to retain, and assist developing skills.

Ngozi Place HCS focuses on being beneficial to our clients in all avenues.

We maintain this standard by working to help our clients build new skills, and retain positive skills they may already possess. We do this by being encouraging our clients to perform all tasks they are capable of, only directly assisting to ensure the activity was completed correctly.

Staff should monitor clients activity for safety during skill based activities. It is important that each staff member learns the skills and behaviors of the clients that they are working with. Having this knowledge will help the clients build and retain skills, while also making your duties less frictional.

Cleaning & Hygiene

Our clients want to be clean and comfortable, and you’re the person to make that happen!

Direct care staff is responsible for the day to day cleanliness & hygiene of the home and client during their shift. This includes brushing teeth, bathing, assisting with bowel movements and more. These tasks are as important to Ngozi Place HCS as it is to our clients!

When each staff member upholds their portion of work, everyone will remain safe, clean and hygienic.
